Jutoh

The functionality Jutoh has to offer revolves around eBooks. You see, you can use it to import existing eBooks and edit them; Word, HTML, ODT, and other formats are supported for the input. If you don’t have an eBook to import, you can use Jutoh to create one. Jutoh caters to all the aspects that go into creating an eBook. Once you’re done, you can export it as an EPUB, Kindle, HTML, or another supported format.

Jutoh is available for multiple platforms: Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. I was able to very quickly get Jutoh up and running on a PC powered by Windows 8.1. As a matter of fact, I had to go through a standard installation procedure that required a minimal amount of effort and took very little of my time.

Jutoh has an intuitive interface that can be customized. From the View Menu you can select what elements are displayed on the interface. And from the Preferences Menu, the Appearance Submenu, you can further customize the interface by changing the fonts, the colors, and more. If you want to quickly get started with the interface, if you want to populate the interface with info, load one of the sample projects that come bundled with Jutoh.

As mentioned above, Jutoh caters to all the aspects that go into creating an eBook. It allows you to import text and images, it allows you to play with the formatting, it checks for spelling mistakes, it generates UUIDs, it helps you build a table of contents, it helps you design a cover for your eBook, and more. It gives you everything you need to create eBooks. It's great for novels, self-improvement books, biographies, and other eBooks with relatively simple formatting requirements.

I was a ghostwriter back in the day and I wrote a few eBooks during that time. All I have to say is that I wish I had known about Jutoh back then.
